The university-wide distance learning model will be extended to the end of the semester, and the strategy of "distance learning and flexible examinations" is adopted(111.5.16)

In response to the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic in the coming future, the NTHU has the following strategies based on the consideration of reducing the infection density on campus, ensuring the safety of teachers and students on campus, providing sufficient "safe dormitory" capacity, respecting teaching autonomy, and ensuring the effectiveness of teaching evaluation:

1. The university-wide distance learning is to be extended to the end of the semester (June 17).

2. For courses such as in-person experimental courses, hands-on courses, physical education and service learning, instructors are advised to guide students to conduct self-learning.

3. Depending on the epidemic situation, fairness of the test and the opinions of students, the final exams can be carried out by taking on-site exams, adopting online multi-assessments or canceling the final exams.

4. Considering the density of personnel in the laboratory, students are allowed to enter the laboratory to conduct the research work under the circumstance of the agreement of the advisor and safe environment.

5. Dorm students can check-out the dormitory early and apply for a refund of part of the dormitory fee.
